JUST WORK

its been some week! workin short and workin 12hr shifts....whew! sunday nite i worked 12 and i worked on LL the entire time. i had a resident who found the holy spirit that nite. this res is usually in a good mood but lemme tell ya this mood went far beyond---to the point of being annoying. im sure yall have experienced someone like this. anyhoo, this res has big plans of "waking ppl up" at our facility. they just wouldnt let it go and when they asked me what i thought i told em.......im glad ur excited but most ppl dont feel comfortable talking about God so b careful in what u say and how u say it. this comment just brought on more of a lecture. sigh.

i was finishing up report when the nurse heard someone moaning and went to check it out. she stepped out of the room and said.....im gonna need help. i was like oh shit cause when i checked on this resident they were sittin on the edge of their bed just fine. so we all go in the room and said resident is stretched across the width of their bed on their back, blood rushing to their head moaning away. it was sorta funny given the nature of this resident. we sit the res up and get them standing cause the nurse needs a urine sample......well the nurse realizes that the res has proceeded to piss all over the floor. she gets mad, tells the res that this is what happens when u get babied and runs off to get a catheter kit. u can imagine the moaning and groaning we heard when she straight cathed the person...................but she got her urine sample! ;)

oh yes, fun times and sick nursing home humor.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change, The courage to change the things i cannot accept, And the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people that i had to kill today because they pissed me off. And also help me be careful of the toes i step on today as they may be connected to the ass that i might have to kiss tomorrow. -------Amen

EASTER BUNNY?

well folks i missed april fools day and received a news flash yesterday that this weekend is easter. oops! y is it again that easter is celebrated? it marks the day that jesus ressurected himself? so where the hell did the bunny with the eggs come from? y is a rabbit distributing eggs? and of all things y r they colored and filled with candies? that is not what comes out of the eggs i crack open! pfft. just what did that chicken have to do to get a rabbit to do its bidding? who the hell decided that when the easter bunny comes u have to hunt for the eggs? what a sick lil game parents like to play with their kids. "c'mon kids, get up, get dressed in fancy clothes and run around outside tryin to find eggs hidden in obscure places! yay! it'll b sooo much fun!" wtf. when i was little i ran around outside looking for eggs and enjoying the goodies. but it wasnt one of those holidays where i couldnt sleep the nite b4 b/c of the excitement. it was more like waking up, lookin outside and seeing colored specks all over the yard and then wanting to go investigate. and yes, i will play the same game with my kids. because i too want to make my kids look like crack addicts running around for their next hit during an egg hunt. :)

DO IT UR DAMN SELF!

can i just say that it is highly unprofessional to have visitors come to ur place of employment and hang around anymore than 10/15 minutes. especially in the medical field, we dont have time for that shit. AND its distracting to the other employees. yes, i am a little perturbed over a situation that happened over the weekend. lets just say that while i was busting my ass and dealing with a new admit my nurse proceeded to take one too many breaks---at least much longer than the 15 minutes we're allowed---not to mention the visitors and then to top it off........she sent a trainee to tell me that a resident needed to b changed. now i was already in a room putting a res. to bed, if she bothered to figure out if the res. was wet then y the hell didnt she just go ahead and change them??? i dont have an answer to that but i let the trainee know that if the nurse wanted so-n-so changed she should do it herself cause i was gonna b awhile yet. i have no idea if the resident was changed or not.....im not a fuckin babysitter so i didnt double check. i dont expect a nurse to answer lights and do my job if im free to do it myself, but when im obviously in the middle of something...........yeah. it takes teamwork to do what we need to do, not the attitude of "im a nurse, get an aide." pfft!!!!

yesterday t and i dug up some bricks that were used around the house as edging. okay.....it was alot of bricks but we decided to use them as a border for the fire pit we dug. yeah t dug/pulled out the one closeline pole we had in our yard and put in a fire pit. woohoo! i love bonfires during the summer. :) it was sorta therapuetic to smash up the leftovers but we're sore today. hahaha no physical labor is easy. ;)

thats all i have time for today. gotta get ready to earn my dollar.................

THIS IS IT???

i take it no one cared for "the news"??? lol. its okay, i understand. we all have better things goin on than to listen to me rant over a pretzel. i have no other news. nothing juicy about work---although my 1yr is this month. no drama from any of the girls---but i did c hoochie mama on her spring break. there was mention of a chicken mauling..........have u seen the bk commercial with the giant chickens??? yeah, apparently someone thought they were real at first glance. pfft...no wonder chicken is so damn expensive!! damn those steroids!! i got a phone call from the parks dept. saying that i couldnt reserve what i already did 2 months ago---no fear its all straightened out now. ;) hmmm.....thats about it. my life is soooo interesting! hahaha. i did finally call my friend rachel. it was good catching up with her, i hope that we get to do it again soon. and that eventually we'll feel comfy enough to hang out. :) .......wow, i cant believe thats it. no more gossip or any bitching. something must b off in the universe. i really dont mean to pull a "mandy" with a short post but im stumped. well then maybe tomorrow will b more exciting? g'nite y'all!
