Just a extended thing from what tash said

I wanted to expand on the gas topic and the social security stuff.
First of all, most people know that we are running out of gas. If you didn't before now you do. The government doesn't want to look too much into alternative means of energy to use in cars yet. Why? I don't really know why but I assume money. Because one alternative is solar and that is free. Electricity isn't too expensive so where would they get the same money that they are now. We will just keep paying more and more until we are all poor. Eventually we will just run out and be screwed.
The whole social security thing is going to really hurt people around our age. People whose parents are baby boomers. I did my senior project in high school on this and none of them were concerned at all. I tried to say how we were going to have to help our parents live out the rest of their lilfe and somehow support our families while making money of our own to retire on. As my mom gets older, I worry about if I will get a job and how long I will have to make money before my grandma's disease causes her trouble. My grandma died in her 80's and my mom is getting close to 60. And I don't even have a job yet.
All I know to do is just keep going and hope. That's all I have ever done. i figure if I can take what I have so far, ain't nothing that should stop me now except my own death.

I don't think that you can say that "we're" running out of gas, because we are't really even using "our" gas. We're using the damn Middle Easterners gas. That's why they jack that shit up so high. Was gas this high when we weren't in war? No. That's a bunch of bullshit.

As for S.S. it is a big damn deal. None of these damn kids know shit about what's going on in the fuckin world. None of them think about saving or even getting a job. Even when they are in college. By the time more ppl get out of college they're 24-26 and just getting a job?? WTF man! You're half dead anyhow. Think about your futures. ARG what is the world coming to?

all i know is that i barely get by goin to work and payin my bills....let alone payin outrageous gas prices so that i can drive my happy ass to work or try to put anything into my "savings"....if thats what u wanna call it! we bitch about these things goin on, but question is how many of us goes out and votes when the time comes???

we all have our theories, i personally think that the war and a lil somethin goin on in china have everything to do with the gas prices. its sad when i can say that "back in my day" i can remember a time when gas was just 1.15/gal or less! i know inflation happens, but if thats the case then y rnt we being paid more per hour at our jobs??? as far as SS goes...well, i know my gma was struggling when she was around and i just assumed then that everything would b down hill from there. looks like i wasnt too far off.

I agree with Tash. We barely get by paying bills, putting food on the table and putting what little if any money we have left in savings. Sure, inflation happens, I understand that. Like Tash said, do we get paid any better because of it?

As for voting, when the time came I did get my happy ass out and vote. I knew things would be like they are if Bush got re-elected. So I had to do my part in trying to get someone else in.

On the whole college shit and when ppl get out, it doesn't really matter. In fact, I think the anonymous person meant Masters, but who knows! (speaking from the ever growing opinion that you still can't do much anymore with a bachelor degree)

Social Security is screwed right now no matter how you look at it. My best advice is to plan as much as possible, and who knows how much that is. For all we know we could end up in another Depression. *sigh*

Tash, maybe Jesse and Tim are right about the MVM...
